This 60 second commercial being run in New Hampshire by the John McCain campaign was filmed at Franklin Pierce University prior to a town hall event on November 18, 2007.

The parts of Senator McCain speaking were filmed in a transformed Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communication Television Studio.

On Sunday, I will join Senator John McCain on the Straight-Talk Express, riding from Keene to Rindge, NH where he will arrive at about 6pm for his event at Franklin Pierce University, where he is expected to take the stage at 6:15.

Reports say the Senator will speak about Corporate responsibility at the Engaging Students, first in the nation event, an event hosted by Franklin Pierce University and the Marlin Fitzwater Center for Mass Communication, and the Fitzwater Connections Program, shared with partner Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.

Huckabee Visits Franklin Pierce: Calls for Overhaul of Tax, and Healthcare Systems

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee prior to an event at Franklin Pierce University, in a Student Media Press conference talked about his latest surge in Iowa and in New Hampshire, and his support for the political process in the two states.

Huckabee talked about filing for the New Hampshire Primary, which he is doing at this hour in Concord.

Huckabee says money has taken a lot of control of government, and the press has focused on who has raised money but not enough on the ideas, and that adds credibility to the candidate with the most money.

In the press conference, Huckabee fired at Fred Thompson staying persistent with the challenge, to Thompson about holding a Lincoln Douglas Style debate.

Huckabee, in his event at Pierce, expressed his interest in overhauling the “broken tax system," and to transform the healthcare system. Huckabee proposes that under his overhauling, the IRS goes away. Huckabee believes, there is not a "healthcare crisis" but instead a "health problem," but says this can not be changed in a campaign cycle but instead in a generational cycle.

Interesting note, Huckabee a Boston Fan admires the Red Sox, but was a Yankees fan growing up. His true baseball love, is the Texas Rangers, but said they wont make the World Series in his life time. Mark Martin is Huckabee's favorite Nascar Nextel Cup driver.

Huckabee, Richardson to visit Franklin Pierce and the Fitzwater Center

Mike Huckabee will speak at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire at 9am on Thursday. On Sunday the action on the trail continues at Franklin Pierce, as they will host Governor Bill Richardson, as part of the Fitzwater Connections Series, connecting voters and students of the Monadnock region with the candidates.

Huckabee to Speak in Rindge, NH

Mike Huckabee will meet with students and rotary club members at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge in two seperate meeting times, on the morning of October 18th. Huckabee will be meeting inside Pierce Hall.

The student gathering is being organized by the Marlin Fitzwater Center for Mass Communications, through the Fitzwater Connections series, connecting voters with the candidates.

___9-10 a.m. She starts the day at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge where she will be the very first of the ‘First Partner Series’ of visits by partners of the Presidential candidates to the Fitzwater Center and the Women in Leadership Program.

___11:00 She will be at Keene State College for an informal lunch with students and will attend the Tom Hayden address at noon at the Redfern Arts Center and meet with the KSC Democrats at 1:30 in the Student Center.

___5:30 Elizabeth will meet the Cheshire County Democrats at their office on Eagle Court off Main Street in Keene. All are welcome.

Favorability of Bill Clinton helps Hillary in New Hampshire

In a latest Franklin Pierce University Poll, Respondents were asked how favorable or unfavorable they feel toward Bill Clinton. Overall in the poll conducted by Franklin Pierce and WBZ TV, 86 percent of respondents feel favorable toward Bill Clinton, while 11 percent feel unfavorable. Democratic primary voters with a favorable view toward Bill Clinton are much more likely to vote for Hillary Clinton (39%) than voters with an unfavorable view (9%). Thirty percent of voters who feel unfavorable toward Bill Clinton said that they would vote for Obama. Still, 44 percent of those with an unfavorable view toward Bill
Clinton think that Hillary Clinton will win the Democratic nomination. These results suggest that while Bill Clinton does have an effect on his wife’s political fortune, few Democratic primary voters hold an unfavorable view toward the ex-President.

Franklin Pierce University Poll: Romney Ahead

As the 2008 New Hampshire Presidential Primary approaches, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney maintains his lead over his Republican rivals, this according to a WBZ, Franklin Pierce University Poll released today.
In March, Senator John McCain and former mayor Rudy Giuliani were the early front-runners. Following the Republican debate on June 5th, Romney took the lead. Today, Romney maintains his lead with 30 percent of the vote, while Giuliani trails him with 23 percent of the vote. John McCain has now dropped to a distant third behind both candidates (14%), while the latest candidate to enter the race, Senator Fred Thompson, is well-behind the front-runners with just eight percent of the vote.

Although Romney has a modest lead, 31 percent of likely primary voters are still unsure who will win, suggesting that the Republican race remains wide open in New Hampshire.

The buzz is amazing across the nation after the latest Democratic debates that took place on Sunday at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. Some say Senator Clinton was a clear winner because her polling numbers are now up, according to a Franklin Pierce College/WBZ TV poll run by R. Kelly Myers, Senior Fellow at the Fitzwater Center for Communication.

"Senator Hillary Clinton has opened a much larger lead over her Democratic rivals. Just 3 months ago, Clinton held a 7-point lead over her closest challenger, Senator Barack Obama (25%)," Myers said.

The Franklin Pierce/WBZ poll is telling political analysts that Clinton attracted the support of 38 percent of Democratic primary voters after her strong performance in the debate, which is more than twice the level of support held by her closest challenger, Obama, at 16 percent.

CNN released these numbers following the Democratic Debates... Clinton got the second most face time in the election with 14:26 minutes and 15 questions. I think it shows that Clinton's performance was the key to her "victory." Obama had the most face time with 16:00 minutes, and 16 questions.

Some might say Mike Gravel won, because he went in as a "nobody," and came out getting his name and more importantly his message out to a national audience. With all due respect to the former Alaskan Senator, a good chunk of the voting population around the United States, and here in New Hampshire, didn't know who he was prior to the debate. When Franklin Pierce Polling asked voters who won the debate, or performed better than the other candidates, Gravel's percentage remained at 0%, showing that selected voters were not happy with his performance.

Also look for Senator Joe Biden's numbers to be on the rise along with Senator Chris Dodd's. New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson's favorability rating is on the rise. Richardson's net favorability rating has improved, from 17 to 41 percent in the past three months. These numbers are according to the Franklin Pierce Poll.
