The Kucinich Campaign for President calls the war in Iraq an abomination on the record on the history of the United States. Elizabeth Kucinich, the wife of presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich spoke to Students at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge New Hampshire this week.
“Obviously the war in Iraq, an abomination on record on the history of this country, we have to get out of Iraq, and get out as soon as we can,” said Mrs. Kucinich. "This doesn’t have to be when dennis is elected, this can be before that…but really if it is still going on this is something we would be committed too.”
Dennis Kucinich of Ohio has been a strong opposition to the war in Iraq, his wife spoke on his behalf, outlining three of her husbands goals; Universal healthcare, immediate withdrawal from Iraq and as part of Kucinich's stance on Trade they would withdraw the Unite States from the World Trade Organization.
Dennis and Elizabeth returned to the Granite State this week to take part in Wednesday nights Democratic Debates at Dartmouth College, in Hanover.

Calm Before the Storm
Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said almost one year ago, he would see what the political playing field looked like in a year. That year is up! Newt made six visits in nine days to New Hampshire, and has been MIA in the Granite State all summer, unlike every other candidate.
The last publicized visit I recall Newt making to the Granite state was on May21st, 2007; it was a book signing at a Wal-Mart, and later met with activists at the Chateau Restaurant. Prior to that he spoke to the Manchester Republican Committee at The Yard Seafood & Steak House the Executive Court Banquet Facility in Manchester, NH on the evening of December 15, 2006. It seems as if Newt likes to stay out of the lights, and microphones of the media in New Hampshire.
Gingrich visited NH earlier in the year, November 27-28, 2006. On November 27 he was the featured speaker for the Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications annual First Amendment Award Honors in Manchester, an interview conducted with Newt at that time is available here. On November 28 he spoke at the "Politics and Eggs" breakfast forum at the Bedford Village Inn in Bedford.
Is the calm before the storm to analyze his "Americas Solutions?" Although the attention on Newt in New Hampshire is down, it is up around the country, a group Draft Newt is up and running working to collect donations and signatures to assure a run by the former speaker.
An Interesting quote I read in an online article written By Sam Youngman, for "The Hill".
"As former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) was walking out of the lobby of the Hay-Adams hotel Friday morning, a well-wisher asked him what almost everyone else in Washington is wondering.
“Are you gonna do it?”
Gingrich replied with an abbreviated version of the answer he had given a small group of Washington reporters repeatedly throughout the morning.
“No. I don’t know. We’ll decide later on,” he said.
Earlier in the day, over breakfast, Gingrich offered a scenario that made it seem unlikely he will jump into the 2008 presidential race, but as he has done all year, he left the door open.
“I think the odds are very high that I won’t run,” he said before adding, “There are circumstances where it could happen.”
In many published reports, it has been speculated that Newt Gingrich will decide within the coming month
