Steve Forbes Shows Support for Giuliani
"I was reminded of the stark contrasts between the candidates," said Forbes in an email to Rudy supporters. "Rudy Giuliani’s record vividly stands above the rest. No one has more executive experience and a record of getting results."
Forbes a National Campaign Co-Chair & Chief Economic Advisor, said "We can trust a Giuliani administration to cut taxes and lead our nation out of deficits, anonymous earmarks and runaway spending. He will bring back fiscal responsibility through government accountability. We know he can accomplish these things because he has the proven record and experience to get it done."

Biden talks: Focus on New Hampshire Campaign
During the rest of October, the Delaware senator said he'll bein New Hampshire at least 11 days and in Iowa 14 days, barring anycritical votes in the Senate. Biden has been in New Hampshire just twice since August 14th.
Eyes on the Primary Schedule
Congressional Democrats from Florida have sued their own party, hoping to restore the national convention delegates that were stripped from the state because itscheduled an early presidential primary.
The lawsuit claims the party violated the Constitution andfederal voting laws by taking away Florida Democrats' ability tohave a say in choosing the presidential nominee.
The national party's rules committee voted to take away Florida's 210 delegates after the state party chose to go alongwith a January 29th primary. Party rules say states cannot hold their 2008 primary contests before February 5th, except for Iowa,Nevada, New Hampshire and South Carolina.
Meanwhile, South Carolina Democrats will decide within two weekswhether to ask national party leaders to move the state's primaryto January 19th and make it the party's first contest in the South.

Elizabeth Kucinich Outlines Goals of a Kucinich Administration.
“Obviously the war in Iraq, an abomination on record on the history of this country, we have to get out of Iraq, and get out as soon as we can,” said Mrs. Kucinich. Gardner Tells Impeding States to "Back Off!"
One of Gardners reasons, "It’s a very unique political culture that exists here.”
It appears that the primary will be held no later than the 8th of January. In 1999 New legislation gave additional flexibility to the Secretary of State to move the NH Presidential Primary date “seven days or more” ahead of any other state holding a “similar election.”
"The people of this state participate in levels that are unprecedented across the country," said Gardner. “Everyone wants to have something like we have in New Hampshire; we are sort of the victim of our own success.”
“New Hampshire’s been part of most of the most significant events that have occurred in this country of political nature, governmental structure nature; New Hampshire played a huge roll.” In the last mid term election in the granite state, the state went from a red state to a blue state.
When asked about the financial impact, Gardner said, “Its not about the money, It was never about the money, it’s not about the money now, its simply about the people in this state, the grassroots to have a say in this process”

On the Trail - '08: Would Al Gore Make a Difference?
Would Al Gore Make a Difference?
According to a New Hampshire Primary Political Poll, conducted by WBZ TV and Franklin Pierce University, Hillary Clinton would extend her lead three points, receiving 39 percent of the vote. Obama would come in a distant second, with 19 percent of the vote, followed by John Edwards (12%) and Bill Richardson (11%).
The race is tighter on the Republican side, in the first WBZ poll since former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson officially entered the race. Thompson has fallen 1 percent, since a June pole that was conducted by Franklin Pierce, as has John McCain's favorability rating. Mitt Romney has a strong lead on Republicans. Romney still leads former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, 30-to-23 percent. Romney held a 9-point lead in the last survey back in June
Favorability of Bill Clinton helps Hillary in New Hampshire
Clinton think that Hillary Clinton will win the Democratic nomination. These results suggest that while Bill Clinton does have an effect on his wife’s political fortune, few Democratic primary voters hold an unfavorable view toward the ex-President.
Franklin Pierce University Poll: Romney Ahead
In March, Senator John McCain and former mayor Rudy Giuliani were the early front-runners. Following the Republican debate on June 5th, Romney took the lead. Today, Romney maintains his lead with 30 percent of the vote, while Giuliani trails him with 23 percent of the vote. John McCain has now dropped to a distant third behind both candidates (14%), while the latest candidate to enter the race, Senator Fred Thompson, is well-behind the front-runners with just eight percent of the vote.
Although Romney has a modest lead, 31 percent of likely primary voters are still unsure who will win, suggesting that the Republican race remains wide open in New Hampshire.
Hillary Announces New Healthcare Plan
"to ensure that every American will have access to affordable, quality health
care."
Clinton in a statement by her campaign, promised that she will fight for families struggling with healthcare and that is why she introducted the plan she call "American Health Choices Plan."
According to the statement, Clinton calls is a a fiscally responsible plan that our country will be able to afford, "If you like the insurance you have now, you won't have to change a thing. But if you want to change your plan, or if you're one of the 47 million Americans who don't have coverage, you will have a variety of plans to choose from," said the New York Senator.
"We can improve the quality of our health care, lower costs, preserve our choices, and ensure that every person in America has quality coverage, said Clinton. "It ensures that care will be affordable and that insurance companies can no longer deny coverage because of preexisting conditions."
Clintons plan offers healthcare for those that have it and cheaper care for those that already do.
"I have never wavered in my commitment to making sure that every single person
in America has access to affordable, quality health care. And I have promised
that as president, I will make universal coverage a reality. The American Health
Choices Plan is a roadmap that tells us how to get there."

General Wes Clark Endorses Clinton
"The world has reached a critical point, and we need a leader in the White House with the courage, intelligence and humility to navigate through many troubling challenges to our security at home and abroad. I believe Senator Clinton is that leader, and I whole-heartedly endorse her for President of the United States," General Clark said.
"Our economic and national security has become more complicated than ever before, and we deserve a leader who draws on wisdom, compassion, intelligence and moral courage - in short, we need Hillary Clinton. She is tough but fair, a rock-solid leader equal to the many weighty challenges ahead of us."
After 34 years of service in the United States Army, General Clark rose to the rank of four-star general as NATO's Supreme Allied Commander, Europe. General Clark commanded Operation Allied Force, which saved 1.5 million Albanians from ethnic cleansing in Kosovo, and he was responsible for the peacekeeping operation in Bosnia.
General Clark's awards and honors include the Presidential Medal of Freedom, The State Department Distinguished Service Award; the US Department of Defense Distinguished Service Medal;(five awards), The US Army Distinguished Service Medal(two awards), The Silver Star, the Bronze Star (two awards), the Purple Heart, and Honorary Knighthoods from the British and Dutch governments.
After his retirement in 2000, General Clark became an investment banker, author, commentator, and businessman. He is the author of the best selling books Waging Modern War: Bosnia, Kosovo and the Future of Combat and Winning Modern War: Iraq, Terrorism and the American Empire.
"I am deeply admiring of General Clark’s record of leadership for our country and his appreciation of the complexity of the world in which we live today," Clinton said. "I’m looking forward to his involvement in my campaign and working together to bring the change this country needs."
The Paul Family Walk
Immediately following the rally, the campaign will distribute literature and canvassing packets and teams will proceed to canvass the cities of Manchester, Concord, and Nashua. Dr. Paul and more than thirty members of his family will be in attendance.
The Paul Campaign goal is to have 1,000 volunteers from all around New Hampshire, and the surrounding states, and knock on 50,000 doors that weekend.

Calm Before the Storm
The last publicized visit I recall Newt making to the Granite state was on May21st, 2007; it was a book signing at a Wal-Mart, and later met with activists at the Chateau Restaurant. Prior to that he spoke to the Manchester Republican Committee at The Yard Seafood & Steak House the Executive Court Banquet Facility in Manchester, NH on the evening of December 15, 2006. It seems as if Newt likes to stay out of the lights, and microphones of the media in New Hampshire.
Gingrich visited NH earlier in the year, November 27-28, 2006. On November 27 he was the featured speaker for the Nackey S. Loeb School of Communications annual First Amendment Award Honors in Manchester, an interview conducted with Newt at that time is available here. On November 28 he spoke at the "Politics and Eggs" breakfast forum at the Bedford Village Inn in Bedford.
Is the calm before the storm to analyze his "Americas Solutions?" Although the attention on Newt in New Hampshire is down, it is up around the country, a group Draft Newt is up and running working to collect donations and signatures to assure a run by the former speaker.
An Interesting quote I read in an online article written By Sam Youngman, for "The Hill".
"As former House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) was walking out of the lobby of the Hay-Adams hotel Friday morning, a well-wisher asked him what almost everyone else in Washington is wondering.
“Are you gonna do it?”
Gingrich replied with an abbreviated version of the answer he had given a small group of Washington reporters repeatedly throughout the morning.
“No. I don’t know. We’ll decide later on,” he said.
Earlier in the day, over breakfast, Gingrich offered a scenario that made it seem unlikely he will jump into the 2008 presidential race, but as he has done all year, he left the door open.
“I think the odds are very high that I won’t run,” he said before adding, “There are circumstances where it could happen.”
In many published reports, it has been speculated that Newt Gingrich will decide within the coming month

Kucinich Critical of Iowa Democratic Party
Kucinich, a Democratic presidential candidate accuses Iowa Democratic Party leaders and other groups of, "rigging the game in Iowa" by excluding him from two Presidential events this week.
According to the Kucinich campaign, Representatives of both events have claimed that Kucinich does not have a sufficiently "active organization" in Iowa.
Traditionally the first in the nation primary and caucus states have been a way for voters to sample the candidates, connect personally with the candidates and put the power into the hands of the people. "When Party leaders and their allies pre-select which candidates they will allow the voters to hear, it's a disservice to the voters. Iowans deserve better than a rigged game," said Kucinich. "The whole purpose of the primary and caucus season is to provide voters with opportunities, not to enable a carnival of interest groups to subvert the process."
Numerous polls show Kucinich running ahead of Senators Joe Biden and Christopher Dodd, who were invited to participate. In the most recent CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll, Kucinich was at 3% nationally, Biden was at 2%, and Dodd was below 1%.
"We're doing better than some of the establishment candidates, and we're moving up," Kucinich said. "Instead of spending millions of dollars on high-priced consultants, and slick advertising, we have a highly motivated grassroots organization."

Edwards stands behind Berlin Mill
“The demolition of the smokestacks in Berlin is a sad testament to an unbalanced economy that only works for those at the very top while leaving the middle class and working families behind. The men and women who worked in the Berlin mill represent the very best of America: hard work and dedication.
“My father worked in a mill and I watched him work from sunup to sundown to put food on our table and a roof over our heads. Today, it's even harder for working families to get by as more American workers are working long hours with no health insurance, earning a wage that barely allows them to make ends meet. I believe that we are better than that. I believe that we can change our priorities and practice smart trade policies that put workers and families first and allow the American workforce, and towns like Berlin, to adapt, grow and continue to drive the global economy.
"When I am president, I will fight to build One America where every family has the chance to work hard and get ahead. I will raise the minimum wage and fight to strengthen unions. I also promise to never sign a trade agreement unless it includes environmental and labor standards and truly benefits American workers. For too long, Washington has focused on corporate profits instead of the needs of people who work hard for a living day in and day out. Working Americans need a president who will fight for them and that is exactly what I will do every single day when I am in the Oval Office.”
Republican McCain, Republican Rudy versus Democratic Clinton!
Arizona Senator John McCain recently fired back to a comment in which she talked about General David Petraeus. McCain said, "If you're not tough enough to repudiate a scurrilous, outrageous attack such as that, then I don't know how you're tough enough to be President of the United States." McCain layed a bold statement with this and said he was prepared to be Commander-in-Chief.
Now getting in on the Hillary bashing is Rudy Giuliani. Team Rudy has called for Hillary Clinton to Appologize. Today Team Rudy, released a web ad, "She Changed" This ad calls on Senator Clinton to apologize for her remarks and repudiate MoveOn.org's ad. The Ad can be found on the Giuliani Website. Rudy also used mainstream media today to clash with Hillary. Giuliani ran his own ad today in the New York Times. In the Ad, Rudy told MoveOn.org that there is no place in American politics for these kinds of attacks.

Thompson says No to Debate with Huckabee
Technology in politics seems normal
The first NH audio mobile message will be sent out this week with a special message from Elizabeth Edwards. Elizabeth’s message will ask voters to host a house party for John Edwards and inform them that the host of the house party with the most attendees will win a ticket to accompany her to the next presidential debate on September 26th at Dartmouth College.
On Saturday, the campaign also launched its first live video stream both from the Carpenters' union endorsement in Nashua and then a house party in Manchester. The live stream of the Manchester event was syndicated on the New Hampshire for Edwards website, on Ustream.tv and on the Edwards profiles on Facebook and MySpace. The campaign will continue to live stream New Hampshire events at www.johnedwards.com/nh. Is he for real, or is it a marketing scheme? Thompson makes it official.
Well it seems very fitting for an ex TV star to announce his candidacy on a hit television show. Is Fred Thompson's run for the presidency a realistic run? Will this just be an effort to boost his name, sell books, and help is TV career get off to a fresh start?

Will a Presidential Candidate benefit from Tragedy?
According to the Associated Press, relatives of some of the victims who died in the attacks said this year is different because he is a declared presidential candidate. "He's cashing in on 9/11 like it's his own personal tragedy. It's a photo op on a campaign swing for him," a deputy fire chief whose son was among the 343 firefighters killed, Jimmy Riches, said.
I want your opinion! Do you think Rudy should be allowed to speak at these remembrance ceremonies?
Edwards Receives Granite State Endorsement

E.Edwards Jaffrey House Party-Husband a man of Change
Edwards, after Arriving at the home of a campaign supporter and breast cancer survivor, stood between a group of 100 or so house party attendees. The guests ranged in age from a 3 week old baby, to senior citizens. The group was split between men and women, even with the homeowners’ dog, and cat present.
Elizabeth praised the granite state and talked about the campaign and its support for the First in the Nation Primary, describing the support as being, "deeply committed."
Along with pledging support for the First in the Nation Primary status, she joked about how beautiful the area was on such a beautiful day. Even going as far as saying "I could live there," in reference to houses she passed on her way to Jaffrey.
Edwards was questioned by all men, until a group of women spoke up seeming a bit agitated and asked that the women have the next question. Topics of discussion ranged from healthcare, to gay marriage and also the Senators stance on the Israeli conflict.
Mrs. Edwards said that John believes his stance on gay marriage is Irrelevant. The Q&A also featured talk about healthcare. Mrs. Edwards even took time to answer a question about the difference between New York Senator Hillary Clinton, and her husband, "Hillary is fine with the status quo, John is not fine with the status quo,” in regards to special interest and the current situation our country is in.
The wife of the South Carolina Senator said that John has seen the special interests involved with government; he knows they influence decision and they are not fair and not right. "John wants to right the ship, and give the mega-phone back to the people, and out of the hands of businesses," said Mrs. Edwards.
Following the Jaffrey House Party, Elizabeth went to the campaign's Keene, New Hampshire headquarters- located on Main Street, and flew out of Keene to meet up with the rest of her family in Pittsburgh for a Labor talk.
